If you are considering this place, go ahead and book it! I booked this place for me and my sons to spend some time together before my military son leaves for a year long mission. Everything was perfect. It’s steps from the beach, close to restaurants and shopping, and is a clean and cozy, comfortable place to hang out and relax. The host had a beautiful hand written note welcoming us with special thanks for my son's service and wishing us a great time. They also had special treats for us and for our pup. Such a nice touch and made us feel very welcome for our stay. I hope to return in the future.

incredible spot just over the dunes of the beach, secluded but close to everything on a charming sandy road with the beach access merely steps away. We had booked a different property with the same host but learned a week in advance that there was work to be done on the exterior and they moved us to this property which turned out to be a blessing because it was in the most perfect location and had everything we needed, our dogs loved every minute, it was just as much their vacation as it was ours.

This is the perfect beach house! We stayed at 435 Ocean Avenue, single house. As close to the beach as you can get, short walk thru the dunes and you’re there. The house itself is so cozy. Comfy king bed and a room with 2 single beds. Single story which is a plus for us. Kitchen is spacious and stocked well with dishes and utensils. Large refrigerator with an icemaker. Tv in living room was large and in the bedroom was great too. I would absolutely recommend this house to any couple or family of 4. We will definitely stay again if we are in town! Thank you!

We loved it. It was just like being at home. The beds slept so good. We had a TV in every room. All you need to bring is your clothes. It would say that is the best washer and dryer I have ever seen in any place we have stayed. We will book again at this same place. Was it worth the money? Yes, it was. Property was exactly as shown on site. Extremely clean, nice beachy ambiance and in a very quiet neighborhood. Very short walk to Main Beach Park. No view of the ocean but up and over a nearby beach access stair and there you are. Short drive to anywhere in Fernandina beach. Kitchen well appointed. Beds were a bit on the firm side but comfortable. Lots of communication from host before hand. No real complaints.

This is the third time my family of 4 has stayed in this property. The space is just right, with 2 bedrooms, and the location is even better - just steps from the beach. This house is equipped with useful amenities, including a washer and dryer, which is a major plus. Someone put a lot of effort in the contents of the home. Everything you could conceive of needing is there and in good repair. Small touches to make you both welcome and comfortable are everywhere. The location is wonderful, the beach is just over the dunes and the area is quiet. You are minutes from Fort Clench and a straight shot to Centre Street and all the local shops and restaurants it offers. I can't say enough about this rental and honestly part of me wants to keep information about this jewel to myself.

We were very pleased with this rental! It was a great place to watch the sunrise and strategically close to the ocean, downtown Fernandina Beach, several good restaurants, and a number of good golf courses. The kitchen was well appointed and the washer and dryer were well placed and easy to use. The parking was very convenient. Close to the amazing Nassau Humane Society Dog Park, too. The cottage was extremely clean, nicely renovated with the ocean just over the dunes. This older cottage makes one nostalgic for when the beach was lined with many similar small houses. Destination Amelia staff members were very helpful and addressed a minor maintenance issue quickly. Property was well stocked all around - and in all rooms. Cottage's private lot on the ocean with a picnic table and chairs was a real plus, and parking could accommodate several vehicles. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!!

While the cottage is very modest-looking from the outside, it is beautiful and up-to-date inside. The queen bed was very comfortable, and the second bedroom would be comfortable for two (children or adults). The appliances are modern, and the kitchen was well equipped. Beach access is within 50’ of the front door. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect beach get away

This is a perfect spot for total relaxation. The property had plenty of room for two couples. Also ample parking for our vehicles and kayak trailer. All of the appliances were in perfect working order. The space was uncluttered, neat and tidy. The whole atmosphere of the island was slow placed and friendly. Fort Clinch was a pleasure to visit, as were the shops downtown. We rented electric bikes, which was more fun than the law should allow. We ended up riding almost 40 miles mostly on the natural canopy shaded bike path. The beach was beautiful, although not much shelling to be had. While we were there, it was also too rough for fishing. I’m sure there is plenty of both to be had nearby, but we were kept entertained regardless. If you have anyone in your party interested in skateboarding there is a wonderful skateboard park very close, along with a park for the children to play. The Destination Amelia team was very helpful and responsive. I wouldn’t hesitate renting this property again, or another offered by the the DA team.

Very nicely updated and decorated older beach cottage and with more room inside than expected! Very comfortable beds and furniture and had picnic table and chairs on front patio to enjoy sitting out. Dog friendly and all on one floor, which was great for our older pup. Included everything needed for our stay at the beach. Very peaceful and quiet with beach access one house over. Well, not much curb eye appeal from the outside but so well appointed on the interior maximizing ALL the interior space. It's an oyster of a pearl, the beauty is inside. The patio is amazing for early morning sun rises and watching the moon rises and stars at dusk/night. So quiet day and night. Just the wind and sound of the waves. Nice! The beach so close by. Just a few steps away from N5 beach access Wife and I have been beach creatures all our lives. We loved the outdoor hot/cold shower! This place was amazing. It was one of the smallest properties there but don't let that fool you. Looks exactly like the pictures, beautiful. House had everything that we needed. Quiet little community, not touristy. Perfect for our anniversary with NO KIDS. There was 1 bedroom with a very comfortable king bed and a 2nd bedroom that had 2 twin beds. It took 30 seconds to walk from the house to the ocean front. Beach was beautiful and very very quiet.

Very clean and modern from the inside. The outside isn't much to look at but the use of space inside is amazing. We have always stayed in larger houses so weren't sure how this will work out. This small cottage felt larger than it is. It is so close to the beach and is close to everything.

The property was very close to the beach and a convenient walk to the Main Beach Park and a couple of restaurants (including Salt Life). We cooked in most days/nights, so we found the kitchen to be pretty well-equipped for our needs. There were plenty of dishwasher pods, enough paper towels but not any laundry pods, so bring your own! We had a couple of questions for the management company and they were very quick to respond to emails. The house feels bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. It was a great little place for me, my husband and our dog. We would book again!

Absolutely Amazing!!!

The house was right on the beach with a short walk over the dunes to the ocean. Within the first 5 minutes of being here and walking to the beach we spotted 6-7 dolphins! On the first day! It was amazing. We went to the beach on day two and I couldn’t believe it… Not even 10 feet away from where I was swimming in the ocean - dolphins yet again! The house was located close to some restaurants and surf shops. I ended up in an outdoor mall while exploring at one point and it was awesome. The pictures of the house online are exactly what the property looks like in person. The house was both cute and clean. Check in was easy and check out was easy as well. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again next year!

I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. It’s a little, yet spacious vintage cottage in the BEST location on Fernandina Beach. It’s located on a dead end road away from the craziness of the big public beach so you can enjoy a vast stretch of beach with very few people. Yes, it’s true there is a dune blocking your view of the ocean, but that didn’t bother us at all. We could hear the ocean and the view was literally 50 steps away. It’s also a very quiet location, with a short walk to restaurants.

This cute, cozy house worked great for our family (2 adults, 4 year old, and 1 year old). It was small, but plenty of space for us for a week. The inside was very nice and clean. The best part of the house is the location. Super short walk to the beach which was great with two toddlers and a lot of beach gear. We plan to return next year!

My fiancé and I loved staying at this property. It was the perfect size for us. We loved the proximity to the ocean. There is no ocean view, but you can feel the breeze and you are a 1 min walk to the access. We didn’t want to leave!

Cozy, clean cottage by the Sea

The property was just as described. Very well appointed and extremely clean. The mattress was very comfortable. We enjoyed walking across the street to the beach and listening to the ocean waves at night. Two suggestions would be a raised outside deck so you can enjoy the ocean view and enclose the outdoor shower. Great place! I would highly recommend booking a stay here.

Wonderful Getaway!

Don't be fooled by the exterior. This cottage is lovely -- completely redone inside. It was perfect for my hubby and me ... and two cavaliers. The king bed was actually comfortable. While there isn't an ocean view because of the dunes, the beach is steps away and there are two terrific restaurants (both with ocean views) within walking distance. We will definitely be back!!!

Our stay was fantastic! The listing originally stuck out because of the proximity to the beach, and it was as described - just a short walk out of the back door and you’re on the sand. With two kids, we typically haul everything possible out to the beach to maximize our time, I.e. sand toys, coolers, chairs, umbrella, blankets, etc. Because the house was so close, we were able to go back and forth quickly if need be. The surrounding area is nice, and we found plenty of great places to eat as well. I would highly recommend this property!

We usually come to Amelia in the summer but decided on a quick winter trip. We are so glad we did! We had great weather and explored the island more than we normally do. The house is in a quiet location on north beach so it was very relaxing.

We were invited to a wedding on Cumberland Island & decided to extend our stay and turn it into a vacation on Amelia. We could not have stayed at a better cottage. It was quaint, completely spotless when we walked in. Plenty of room for the 3 of us, bedding seemed all updated and comfortable, the house is stocked with everything you need, wish we didn’t lug as much!! Thank you for sharing such an amazing property. Also, Fort Clinch entrance is basically around the corner & downtown shops and restaurants were easy to get to and park.
